Super Sol Nova

The Family Stand

The Family Stand consists of Sandra St. Victor, Jeffrey Smith and Peter Lord. The
Family Stand's 1990 debut album, "Chain", produced the single "Ghetto Heaven", which
instantly became a floor-filling dance anthem. A second LP, the genre defying "Moon
in Scorpio", brought the diverse elements of the trio's musical heritage onto one
stellar release in 1992. An insider's favorite, this 16 song epic became a landmark
template for Soul/Rock fusion. This was followed by a six-year focus on production
and writing for Lord and Smith. The much ballyhooed but underappreciated "Connected",
the trio's third album, eventually saw its release in 1998. As a production & writing
team, Peter & V. Jeffrey made their name with Paula Abdul's "Spellbound" and "Crazy
Cool" releases, and Daryl Hall's solo CD "Soul Alone". They've also produced tracks
for Tamia, Heather Headley, Eamon, Corey Glover, Profyle, Des’Ree, and Miki Howard.
In 1996, Sandra St. Victor released her alternative-soul classic, "Mack Diva Saves
The World". Her songwriting skills have also been duly noted. Songs penned by Sandra
appear on CDs from Prince, Chaka Khan, Profyle, Paula Abdul, numerous soundtracks,
as well as a stellar duet on the New World Order CD with legend Curtis Mayfield.
The Family Stand are currently finalizing their latest collection entitled “Super
Sol Nova” due for a Benelux release in 2007 via an association between The Music
Coalition in New York and Go! Entertainment In Holland.
