Toploader new single ‘This Is The Night"

Following the recent chart resurgence of their hit record ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’ (peaking at #23 in the UK Official Charts) Toploader are pleased to announce that their new single ‘This Is The Night’ is out now in the Benelux.

 ‘This Is The Night’ follows BBC Radio 2 play listed single ‘Turn It Around’ and was co-written with Tim Bran (The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, Scissor Sisters, Paul McCartney, Embrace, The View) and Bnann (The Infadels, Alex Metric, La Roux, Hurts), co-produced by Joseph Washbourn and Tim Bran and mixed by Ash Howes.

The single is the first insight into Toploader’s new material.  With clear influences from the genres of Motown and Soul, ‘This Is The Night’ retains the band’s more mature sound whilst demonstrating their unquestionable ability to write feel good pop tracks.

Toploader have returned to the studio to record the new single 'Turn It Around', due for UK and European release on 11th February 2013.

Co-written with Ivor Novello Songwriter Of The Year Eg White (Adele, Will Young, James Morrison and produced by Andrew Green (Keane, Scouting For Girls) 'Turn It Around' is a sparkling pop record. With uplifting melodies, a chorus that quickly gets in your head and stubbornly stays there, and a sprinkling of the Toploader signature sound on top, 'Turn It Around' looks set to put the band firmly back on pop's radar.

Toploader, Joseph Washbourn (vocals & keys), Dan Hipgrave (guitar), Matt Knight (bass) and Rob Green (drums), returned in 2011 from an eight year hiatus with third studio album 'Only Human', which was produced by Danton Supple (Morrissey and Coldplay).

Debut single, 'Never Stop Wondering' became the unrivalled soundtrack for Sky Sports and the BBC and second single 'A Balance To All Things' then took it a step further, making it on to radio playlists across the country including the prestigious BBC Radio 2.

In June 2011 lead singer Joseph Washbourn took to our screens to compete in ITV1s 'Popstar to Operastar' where his outstanding voice took him right through to the semi finals.

Since the release of the album, the band have been working their way around venues and festivals across the UK, building awareness of their return, as well as spreading their wings into Europe.

'Turn It Around' will be released in the UK and Europe on 11th February 2013.
